1) Q: Will my kids have fun? A: Yes!!! Cliff and Mary have extensive experience leading camps and large-scale recreation (both having worked as youth workers & camp counselors, as well as in residence assistance). This camp is intentionally designed to be both impactful AND engaging.
2) Q: What is the day plan? A: Our day plan is as follows..
Monday: Uncover PERSONALITY traits (drama day)
Tuesday: Discover PASSIONS/ PURPOSE (art day)
Wednesday: Identify social, community, or marketplace PROBLEMS (water games/ field day)
Thursday: Create PRODUCTS or PLANS (tech day)
Friday: PRESENT plan with achievable, S.M.A.R.T. goals (international day)
3) Q: Will my kids be transported off site? A: No. All immersion & recreation activities will take place on site.
4) Q: Should my youth pack food? A: Yes. Please have your child pack a peanut-free
lunch & two snacks (all labeled with their name). Thank you for keeping our friends with allergies safe!
5) Q: How should they dress? What should they bring?
A: This changes based on the day...
M (Drama day): regular dress
T (Art day): wear clothes that can get messy
W (Water games): boys- please wear swim trunks & a t-shirt/ girls- please wear a bathing suit (under a t-shirt) and shorts
Th: (Tech): regular dress. Please send your child with either an ipad or smart phone (labeled!)- they will not have access to it the entire day.
F: (International day): please have child dress in either international dress or semi-formal clothes (this is their presentation day).
6) Q: My child isn't a strong leader & struggles fitting in- would they be comfortable here? A: We hope they'll join us so that they'll leave feeling more confident and well-liked. Our camp incorporates asset-based programming (which focuses on bringing out your child's strengths). It is also designed to be safe AND inclusive (as leadership should be)! If your child has special needs, please contact us.
7) Q: Can my child be placed on a team with a friend? A: Yes, as much as possible we will accommodate this. Please indicate this friend on your sign-up form.
8) Q: Can parents attend the Friday presentations? A: Yes, and we encourage you to do so! This is an incredible opportunity to celebrate your child's growth & strengths. You can also send an electronic device, and we will video it for you.
9) Q: Is there a final celebration? A: Yes! Please bring a covered dish or side & join us Friday afternoon at 4 to celebrate together (and meet like-minded parents & friends!) If you would like to bring a dish that celebrates your cultural or ethnic heritage, we would love that!
10) Q: When is payment due? Is it refundable? A: The final deadline for payment is 7 days before each camp. Camp is non-refundable after this date. 10% of all profits support justice work in our local communities.

As parents, we know there are things YOU need to talk to your child about: healthy relationships, mental health, social media safety, etc. Coming this fall are engaging one-day workshops that address these critical topics while fostering communication between you and your youth (both DURING and AFTER the workshop).
